Three Days in One

Minnesota turned into Sioux Falls. We had originally planned to spend the night in Minnesota. A reservation had been made.

We were making really good time.

We arrived around 3 p.m. Too early for the two of us to get off the road. At least on that day.

We decided to cancel and keep going. I went to the front desk & confirmed the cancellation cutoff was 6 o’clock. No penalty due…they cancelled for me.

Back on the road we went.

Having been with a large hotel group, I had access to a Friends & Family rate. Looking ahead we determined we could stop overnight at one of their suites hotels. I don’t actually remember but I would think I called ahead to make the reservation. Anyway, that’s where we stayed. It wasn’t as nice as the one I had worked at. But it would do.

Best part, we would get breakfast. It was included. It was a Sunday night. Unfortunately, the evening reception only runs three nights a week. Sundays are not one of them.

~From Sioux Falls to Lusk, WY ~~ 6 hours 40 minutes / 491 miles~

As usual we made coffee and did our morning exercises in the room. Then went for breakfast. Being Labor Day weekend, there were a lot of people. There was zero coffee when we went to get a refill after eating. The coffee station by the front desk was also…
